Hi, I’m Tamara ~ and I’m so happy you found my page!

My interests in baking began in my early 20’s, when I got married and started a family. It was also around that time that I realized my aging Grandma made most of her dishes (aka my favorites) without using recipes ~ because she had been making them all for so long that she had mostly memorized all of them. There were a couple that she didn’t even have written recipes for at all! SO… one weekend, I decided to follow her around the kitchen while she made all those yummy dishes and write down every step she took to make them ~ so that I could make my own recipe pages to have always. She giggled at me and thought it was the funniest thing, that I would want to do that. I believe she was so proud that I thought that much of her cooking, to want to have the recipes forever. In later years, she would even ask me to make her dishes at some family gatherings ~ which was, of course, the highest compliment that I could receive, knowing that SHE thought I made them well. I lost my sweet Grandma 20 years ago, and I am SO happy that I have all those recipes to make for Holidays and other occasions to keep her wonderful spirit alive.
